CONSORT Ventures designs, builds and maintains the software the other companies within the ecosystem use to do their work — the systems behind investment management, fund operations, distribution, trading and research.
For now, we work for one entity: the group we are part of. That gives us a close view of how the work is actually done, and it means the people we build for are the people we sit with.
We stay with what we build. A system that goes into use stays our responsibility, and looking after it matters to us as much as building it did.
Five systems, one for each investment vertical
Each vertical has its own work to do, and its own systems to do it with. What follows is what we build for each and what it lets a business do.
We build the tools for placing and monitoring trades, watching positions, and producing the performance reporting that reaches clients. Everything runs inside the risk parameters the investment team sets, so the desk can trade a book without leaving its own limits.
We build the records of what the fund holds, what each holding is worth, and who owns which part of it, and the reporting that comes out of them. They sit alongside the independent administrator, so the fund can account for itself to its investors and its regulator.
We build the onboarding and eligibility checks, the records behind them, and the reporting that goes back to investors and introducers. Everything is kept so it holds up on review, so a new investor can be brought on properly and the paperwork stands years later.
We build the trading front end, the connection to the broker behind it, and the tools for opening an account and following a strategy. It works without us in the middle, so an investor can trade or follow on their own.
We build the testing platform, the pipeline that turns a strategy into an automated one, the parameters each strategy is measured on, and the daily reporting that goes back for review. Strategies run against the framework until they make the cut, and the ones that do go live on the exchange.
Built and run for each team’s operational needs
Currently, CONSORT Ventures works only for the companies within the CONSORT group. Enquiries relating to any of those companies are handled by the company itself.
